Overview
The VersaSpa Pro is our UV-free option, and for a lot of people it is the only tanning they do. There is no ultraviolet light involved at all. You step into the booth, a fine mist of tanning solution is applied evenly across your skin, and the colour develops over the following hours as the active ingredient reacts with the outermost layer of your skin. That reaction is the tan, which is why the result arrives within about eight hours and then fades naturally as that layer of skin renews itself.
What separates a good spray tan from a bad one is the solution and the application. The VersaSpa Pro applies in measured passes rather than one blast, so coverage is even and there is no pooling at the wrists and ankles where cheaper systems give themselves away. The solutions are pH-balanced and eco-certified, and they are built to deal with the two things people fear about spray tanning: the orange cast and the smell. Odor-Ban 200 technology exists specifically to handle the second one.
The solutions do more than colour. They carry hydrating and firming ingredients along with marine algae that conditions the skin, so a session leaves your skin in better shape than it found it. That matters more than it sounds, because hydrated skin holds a sunless tan considerably longer than dry skin does.

Who it is for
Choose the VersaSpa Pro if you want colour without UV exposure, whether that is for a medical reason, a personal one, or simply because you have an event this week and no time to build a tan gradually. A spray tan is immediate in a way no UV bed can be.
It also suits anyone who wants to control the depth precisely, and anyone whose skin does not colour well under UV no matter how many sessions they put in. Sunless colour does not depend on your skin producing melanin, so it works on skin types that UV will not.
Preparation matters more here than with anything else on our floor. Read the before-and-after section before your first session.
Before and after your session
- Two days before. Exfoliate with a non-oil-based scrub. Dead skin takes colour unevenly and sheds early, which is what causes patchy fading.
- Shaving and waxing. Do it at least 24 hours ahead, not the same day. Freshly opened pores hold solution and can spot.
- Come with bare skin. No lotion, make-up, deodorant or perfume. Anything on the surface blocks the solution where it sits.
- What to wear. Loose, dark clothing and open-toed shoes. Tight waistbands and straps can lift colour before it has set.
- Wait to shower. Give it at least eight hours, and skip swimming, saunas and hard workouts until then. The colour is still developing.
- Afterwards. Pat dry rather than rub, and moisturise every day. Dry skin sheds, and a sunless tan goes with it.
- No sun protection. A sunless tan gives you essentially none. Wear sunscreen exactly as you would without it.
Questions
How long does a VersaSpa tan last?
Usually five to seven days, depending on your skin and how you look after it. Sunless colour sits in the outermost layer of skin and fades as that layer renews. Moisturising daily and avoiding long hot showers extends it noticeably.
Will it make me look orange?
Not with these solutions. VersaSpa uses eco-certified, pH-balancing ingredients chosen specifically to avoid the orange cast that gave cheap sunless products their reputation.
How soon can I shower afterwards?
Leave it at least eight hours. The colour is still developing during that window, and washing early gives you a lighter, patchier result. Our staff will confirm the exact timing for the depth you chose.
Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. A sunless tan is colour in the top layer of skin and gives essentially no protection from UV. Use sunscreen exactly as you would without it.
